This position is responsible for working on patient meal assembly area, washing patient and cafeteria dishes, removing garbage from the department, and is responsible for sweeping and mopping the kitchen area. The position also involves picking up dirty patient trays from nursing floors and collaborating with others within the Food and Nutrition Services department to provide outstanding quality food and service to patients. Additionally, the role requires assisting with stocking food and condiments for the patient area. The worker will use various cleaning supplies and operate a dish machine. Work demands range from medium to heavy, requiring walking and standing. Bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing are necessary when performing duties. Normal vision is required. The work environment is indoors, where the area can be hot and humid. The employee may be required to rotate to shifts other than their assigned one in the event of acute staffing needs.
