About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker Patient Server for a full-time position. This role is crucial in ensuring patient satisfaction and maintaining high standards of food preparation and service. The position involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals, managing inventory, serving guests, and performing sanitation duties. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all functions independently and cross-trained in various food service responsibilities, with the ability to support the training of others. This role has a significant impact on patient safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction.

Requirements

High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
Complete sanitation duties.
Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
Collect payments for guest trays.
Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
Follow all aspects of high-quality food preparation and service, or support coworkers to do so.
Support the training of others in food service responsibilities.
