About The Position

Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a dependable and friendly Food Service Worker/Monitor to join our school cafeteria team. This dual-role position supports daily food service operations while also supervising students during meal periods to promote a safe, clean, and respectful cafeteria environment.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Must work well in a team setting
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Must pass a background check in accordance with school district and state regulations

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service or school experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving meals in accordance with menus and nutrition guidelines
• Set up and restock serving lines, salad bars, and condiment stations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, dishes, and utensils
• Operate kitchen equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Supervise and monitor student behavior in the cafeteria during breakfast and/or lunch periods
• Promote a safe, orderly, and respectful environment among students
• Report any issues or concerns to the Food Service Manager or school staff
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Supervisor
