Responsible for preparing meals to order, catering and batch cooking for patients, visitors and staff. Maintains clean work area following all safety and sanitation guidelines. Enters and reports cash transactions. Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following doctor’s orders. Keeps all work areas adequately stocked with food, condiments, beverages and service ware. Washes dishes and utensils following Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines in all actions. Delivers and retrieves trays using required patient identifiers in all interactions. Attractively and accurately assembles patient trays. Follows established portion control guidelines when serving food and beverages. Responsible for service to retail operations. Prepares meals using approved food sanitation practices. Sweeps and mops floors using approved methods.
