About The Position

Employees work 8 hours per day, with shifts from 5:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:30 PM - 8:00 PM, which can vary based on mission requirements. The schedule is Monday, Thursday - Sunday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, and can also vary based on mission requirements.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Requires an understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Requires the ability to pass a DoD background investigation.
- Requires Food Handlers Certification within two months of hire.
- Required to work a flex work schedule including weekends and evenings when necessary to meet agency needs.

- One year experience in food preparation and cooking in a commercial kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness preparing food service areas and ensuring high standards of safety and customer service while working collaboratively with integrated teams.
- Prepares dining areas for meals and sets up serving lines.
- Distributes and serves meals and beverages.
- Assists with performing daily, weekly and monthly deep cleaning of the kitchen and service areas as assigned.
- Cleans and sterilizes dishes, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
- Disposes of trash and packaging containers.
- Clean spills immediately and follow all sanitation guidelines.
