About The Position

The Food Service Worker is responsible for safely performing contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Requirements

Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Line Server – set up hot and cold serving stations, serve customers properly sized portions at sufficient rates, remove or refill hot and cold items, communicate with cooks, food runners, and supervisors when items get low or run out.
Dining Room – clean salad and beverage bar areas and clean spills immediately, clean tables after customer use, refill napkin, straw, toothpick, and other food service dispensers.
Dish Room/Pots and Pans – Run automatic dishwasher and refill chemicals as needed, pre-wash, scrub, sort, separate, and put away dishes and utensils
Sanitation/Custodial – sweep, vacuum, and/or mop flooring, empty trash cans and deposit trash in appropriate receptacles, clean ground-level interior and exterior glass windows and doors, restock paper products and soap and refill all other dispensers.
