Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional special events
  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of food items according to standardized recipes and menus
  • Set up and maintain service stations and work areas with appropriate supplies and food items throughout meal periods
  • Operate equipment such as grills, ovens, slicers, fryers, and dishwashing machines safely and correctly
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation
  • Review menus, assemble items needed for preparation, and follow production sheets to achieve nutritious, high-quality, cost-effective meals
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety protocols
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines and procedures
  • Weigh and measure ingredients, document supply acquisitions, and rotate inventory as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests; respond to questions and accommodate special requests as appropriate
  • Restock supplies and assist with inventory control
  • Support the overall success of the dining operation by working collaboratively with the culinary and service team
  • Assist with training new Food Service personnel
  • Report repairs and maintenance needs to the Supervisor
  • Meet time deadlines for tray line, cafeteria service, and catering
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
