About The Position
This role involves preparing and serving meals, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Responsibilities include washing and preparing fruits and vegetables, making gravies, dressings, sauces, and soups, and serving meals. The position also entails dishwashing, transporting food carts, stocking resident units with dietary supplies, monitoring refrigerator temperatures, cleaning dining and kitchen areas, disposing of trash, and setting up dining tables. Adherence to all facility policies and procedures is required.
Requirements
- Ability to follow directions from Cooks.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
- Ability to manage dietary supplies and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
- Familiarity with facility policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Wash, clean & prepare fruits & vegetables for meals and snacks.
- Prepare gravies, dressings, sauces, and soups.
- Serve meals in dining room and units at designated times.
- Assist in preparing salad, desserts and beverages.
- Dishwashing and pot scrubbing as assigned.
- Transport food cart to resident area.
- Collect food cart and dishes returning to kitchen for sanitation.
- Stock resident units with proper dietary supplies, ensuring within date, and monitor refrigerator temps per guidelines.
- Cleans & maintain dining & kitchen areas.
- Disposes of trash.
- Sets up dining tables.
- Retrieve supplies from storage as needed.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures.
