About The Position

Eurest is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker/Cashier at Subaru Indiana Auto in Lafayette, Indiana. This role performs cashiering and general food service work while maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining facilities. The schedule is full time, with days varying and hours from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. No experience is necessary; training is available. The pay range is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry food pans, kettles, and trays between work stations, the stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Store food according to wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils, and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner and resolve customer complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions, accurately record purchases in the cash register, make change, accept approved forms of payment, issue receipts, and follow procedures for cash refunds.
• Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, keeping the cash drawer within overage and shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
