About The Position

Maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. The role supports food service operations by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, moving supplies and equipment, assisting with setup, and handling deliveries. This is a full-time position at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. The schedule is flexible, with days and hours that may vary; further details are provided during the interview. Pay is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Previous utility and prep experience is required.

Responsibilities

Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
