About The Position

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part Time Evening Food Service Tech / Dishwasher to join our dietary team. This position plays an important role in supporting quality meal service for our patients and residents while helping maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. The evening shift begins at 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Willing and able to work an evening schedule beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous food service, dishwashing, or health care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and food service equipment.
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing, dining, storage, and food preparation areas.
Assist with dining room setup, meal service, and cleanup.
Help prepare meal trays and support accurate and timely meal service.
Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
Properly store food, supplies, dishes, and equipment.
Follow safe food handling, sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
Remove trash and assist with maintaining an organized work environment.
Provide courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow partners.
Assist the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
