About The Position

As the Food Service Teacher at Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway, you will prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they explore, play and develop a lifelong love of learning. This position is FAST PACED and time sensitive, requiring a high energy person to be successful. You will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and shopping for all food needs in the building, including lunch, snacks, and various events. Additionally, you will drop off and pick up elementary school children in our buses during the school year. Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway is where education meets inspiration, and we are passionate about providing the highest quality care to help children develop and grow during their first five years.

Requirements

Experience cooking nutritious meals for a daycare center.
Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
Strong skills in inventory management and control.
Ability to manage food service and catering operations.
Experience in supervising and leading kitchen teams.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and food production.

Nice To Haves

No special license required for transporting children.

Responsibilities

Preparation, planning and shopping for all food in the building to include lunch, snacks and various events.
Drop off and pick up of elementary school children in our buses during the school year.
Encouraging healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
Maintaining a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
Following the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
Assisting with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
Kitchen management.
