About The Position

As the Food Service Support at the Primrose School of Aldie, you’ll help the chef prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they explore, play and develop a lifelong love of learning as well as help support teachers in the afternoon. Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management
Ability to manage food service and catering operations
Experience in assisting kitchen teams
Knowledge of dietary requirements and food production

Responsibilities

Encouraging healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods
Maintaining a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions
Following the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director
Assisting with ordering food and calculating the amount needed
Support a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for children
Assist with age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
