About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Food Service Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Food Service Supervisor will: • Supervise all aspects of food production including menu planning, food preparation and quality to ensure client satisfaction and retention • Support management in maintaining operations within the various segments of the department and their various responsibilities (Production/Patient Services/Retail) • Provide direct supervision of staff performance to ensure accurate and timely service and client satisfaction and ensures products are produced on schedule and within appropriate food safety guidelines • Supervisor is responsible for preparing food products/trays for patients, cafeteria, and catering as needed • Support managers on changes of processes within the department and implementation of performance improvement strategies – assists in the training of new and existing team members and communication within the team • Support cash handling and department supervision when assigned • Be responsible for inventory control to reduce cost and waste – assures security of department • Complete/verify all HACCP documentation of time and temperature. Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the operation • Works collaboratively with peers, visitors, patients, management team, and other hospital staff

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • 1-2 Years hospital food service experience or Food service supervision experience
  • ServSafe or be able to pass ServSafe within 60 days

Nice To Haves

  • Management/Supervisor: 1-2 Years Preferred
