About The Position

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will help create a welcoming and quality experience for our guests. You will be assisting in the supervision of 15-20 crew members and running the restaurant in the absence of management personnel while upholding Denny’s service and quality standards. You will be reporting to the General Manager. Our goal is to provide total guest satisfaction. Our team is made up of committed, caring, and energetic individuals who make every Denny’s location the great and diverse place it is.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Management Food Safety Certification
• Completed all e-learning job code modules
• Consistently display the Guiding Principles
• Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
• Team player, collaborative and attentive
• Excellent guest service and people skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
• Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
• Must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)

Responsibilities

• Supervise shifts by leading other hourly employees to adhere to Denny’s brand standards
• Coordinate restaurant activities by observing the guest flow
• Monitor sales, employee hours, and guest counts throughout the shift to ensure proper staffing
• Complete shift walkthroughs and take corrective actions when needed
• Communicate employee relations issues, deviations from brand standards, and other guest issues to the attention of an exempt manager
• Help Denny’s achieve our mission by adhering to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
