About The Position

This position is for a Food Service Server/Dishwasher at Beach Elementary, employed by Fruitport Community Schools. The role involves participating in food preparation and serving, cleaning the kitchen and related areas, performing sanitation procedures, operating a 3-compartment sink for washing pots and pans, and using a point of sale computer register to handle transactions and make change. The individual will also be responsible for counting money, completing daily sales reports, inspecting cafeteria equipment for safety and functionality, and reporting needed repairs to the head cook. Additionally, the role requires maintaining records of food and supplies received and used, and keeping accurate production records in accordance with federal/department guidelines. Other duties may be assigned by the Food Service Director or Head Cook.

Requirements

Must have a High School Diploma.
Previous quantity food service experience preferred.
Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates in the preparation and serving of food.
Participates in cleaning of kitchen and related areas.
Performs sanitation procedures.
Operates 3 compartment sinks and washes pots and pans.
Operates point of sale computer register and makes change.
Counts money and completes daily sales reports.
Inspects all equipment in the cafeteria area to ensure it is in safe, working condition, and notifies the head cook when repairs are needed.
Maintains records on food and supplies received and used.
Maintains accurate production records conforming to federal/department guidelines.
Other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Head Cook.
