About The Position
This position is for a Food Service Server/Dishwasher at Fruitport Community Schools, located at the Middle School. The role involves participating in food preparation and serving, cleaning the kitchen and related areas, performing sanitation procedures, operating dishwashing equipment, and handling point of sale transactions.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma.
- Previous quality food service experience preferred.
- Computer experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation and serving of food.
- Participates in cleaning the kitchen and related areas.
- Performs sanitation procedures.
- Operates dishwasher and hand washes pots and pans.
- Operates a point of sale computer register and makes change.
- Counts money and completes daily sales reports.
- Inspects all equipment in the cafeteria area to ensure it is in safe, working condition, and notifies the head cook when repairs are needed.
- Maintains records on food and supplies received and used.
- Maintains accurate production records conforming to federal/department guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Head Cook.
