About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager supports the Project Manager in overseeing back-of-the-house (BOH) food service operations, including food supply procurement, warehousing, preparation, and inventory management. This role is responsible for managing processes and duties as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) or other contractual requirements for food service operations at a federal worksite. The position ensures consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and requires a strong working knowledge of, and willingness to learn, all aspects of the operation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service management or related field.
  • A minimum of one year of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with residents, healthcare staff, and administrative personnel in support of contracted food service operations within a continuing care residential facility.
  • Proficient in intermediate-level computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both written and verbal communication in a professional environment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under company policy.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements for assignment to the specified federal contract(s).
  • Successfully pass all organizational screening requirements, including applicable state and federal background checks.
