This position involves managing the food service operation of a Head Start program. Responsibilities include ordering, preparing, serving, storing, and accounting for all food in an efficient, safe, and sanitary manner. The Food Service Manager directly supervises the food service assistant, food technician, and any other non-Head Start funded kitchen workers, and assists in their evaluation. Training and technical assistance are provided by the center director and the nutrition specialist. Supervision and evaluation of the Food Service Manager are provided by the center director.
