About The Position

Successfully lead Dietary department in the areas of staffing, operations, and strategy to ensure nutritional services are aligned with the needs of our patients and employees.

Requirements

  • HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • 1-2 Years of Related Experience
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Maintain certifications and continuing education requirements
  • Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field
  • Previous leadership and budgeting experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring meals are prepared according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements
  • Directs dietary staff to perform daily functions to meet needs for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Coordinating catering services for hospital events and meetings
  • Ensure dietary staff is following food code and dietary policies/procedures and consults with Dietary Oversight to ensure compliance and policies are up to date
  • Makes frequent inspection of all work, storage and servicing areas to determine that regulations and directions governing food service activities are followed.
  • Develop and implement dietary policies and procedures
  • Monitor and develop CQI performance standards for dietary department
  • Handles budgeting and purchasing of food supplies and equipment
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, payroll/timekeeping operations, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
