About The Position
At Maverik, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer adventures. As a Food Service Manager, you’ll lead a team dedicated to delivering fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service. You’ll oversee daily food service operations, develop Team Members, and ensure every meal is prepared safely and efficiently. This role matters because you’ll help bring Maverik’s food experience to life by leading with great customer service, developing your team, and creating a Food Service operation that customers want to come back to. You’ll have the opportunity to build your leadership skills while making a visible impact every day.
Requirements

- Flexible Schedule: Our 24/7 stores require your flexibility, including potentially working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Engage effectively with Team Members and provide exceptional customer experiences through strong communication skills.
- Collected & Composed: Remain calm and collected under high-pressure situations while still delivering exceptional customer service.
- Effective Problem Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and analyze an issue while creating effective solutions.
- Food Safety Certification: Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
Nice To Haves
- Food Service: 2+ years of food service management (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Champion Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by modeling the behaviors, coaching Team Members on consistent execution, and holding the team accountable for a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
- Jump in alongside your team when needed and help ensure the store and food service operation are running smoothly.
- Assist with the training, mentoring, and supervision of store team members.
- Ensure proper & safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serving options (food & drink dispensers).
- Complete with the inspection of facilities/equipment with the Store Director, as well as third-party inspections.
