The Food Service Lead - Deli provides leadership and support in their designated food service area and acts as the go-to leader in the absence of managers. This role is responsible for preparing department product for sale, participating in establishing and maintaining a collaborative environment, and assisting in achieving financial goals with a focus on gross and labor. The Lead establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, customers, corporate staff, and the vendor community, while ensuring adherence to Ready for Business standards. They work closely with market staff to complete administrative and operational tasks, assist in hiring, training, and development, and establish a 360 feedback process. The role involves providing and role-modeling excellent customer service, maintaining brand integrity, and ensuring departments are neat, clean, and orderly. Additionally, the Lead establishes and maintains a culture of safety, ensures food service compliance with laws, and role-models an attitude of service. They stay updated on industry trends, disseminate and ensure adherence to company policies, and support safety/security policies and sustainability programs, all while operating within the Company’s Core Values and Brand.

Requirements

  • High level of food service product knowledge and enthusiasm for food, cooking, and nutrition
  • Must be a positive team player, leader, and positive role model that can effectively manage through change
