About The Position

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Food Service Host to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. In this role, you'll interact directly with patients to help ensure they receive nutritious meals and an outstanding dining experience during their hospital stay. As a Food Service Host, you'll play an important role in enhancing the patient experience by providing friendly service and helping ensure patients receive the meals they need during their recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with meal selection and menu collection.
• Deliver and serve meals while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure meals are served accurately, attractively, and within established timeframes.
• Verify patient identification and follow department procedures during meal service.
• Respond professionally to patient requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, hand hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
• Communicate patient feedback and concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
