Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions daily school menu production items as specified by unit manager.
• Assists with pots and pans, general kitchen clean up, serving food to students and ware-washing.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary work areas.
• Acts as cashier.
• May be assigned to any and all aspects of school food service operations.
• Prepares and cooks soups, pizza, meats, vegetables.
• Makes salads and sandwiches and a variety of other foods.
• May serve prepared meals from the steam table.
• Helps manager with inventory and may assist in food ordering.
