To perform skilled work in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate, reimbursable meals and being responsible for meeting production deadlines and assume responsibility for the quality of food products. The Food & Nutrition Services General Worker (Assistant I) shall carry out essential performance responsibilities including following daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning, participating in on-going state-approved training, demonstrating exceptional customer service, operating point-of-sale systems, adhering to food safety rules and HACCP, performing kitchen duties, assisting in ensuring safe and quality meal service, assisting with ordering and inventory, following recipes and recording information, operating food service equipment safely, maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring sanitation practices are adhered to, driving vans to satellite sites for food delivery, and driving refrigerated/freezer trucks between sites. The role also involves promoting all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies, participating in training programs, reviewing current developments, ensuring adherence to safety rules and procedures, and following federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies. Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.
