To perform skilled work in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate, reimbursable meals and being responsible for meeting production deadlines and assume responsibility for the quality of food products. The Food & Nutrition Services General Worker (Assistant I) shall carry out essential performance responsibilities including following daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning, participating in on-going state-approved training, demonstrating and promoting exceptional customer service, operating point-of-sale systems according to federal guidelines, adhering to food safety rules, departmental procedures, and HACCP, performing kitchen duties as assigned, assisting in ensuring safe and good quality meal service, assisting with ordering, storage, and inventories, following written recipes and instructions, operating food service equipment safely, maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring sanitation practices are adhered to, driving vans to satellite sites for food delivery, and performing and promoting all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
