About The Position

As a Food Service Clerk, you provide exceptional customer service and use your knowledge of gourmet and hot case food items to prepare food that encourages customers to return. You interact with guests, take orders in person or by phone, and help make each visit memorable. The role may involve using food scales, fryers, ovens, slicers, and cash registers. Duties and tools may vary by location.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort standing for extended periods, lifting products up to 35 pounds, and working in varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service or customer service experience.
• Experience preparing deli products, including slicing, assembling, and portioning.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items.
• Experience processing transactions and making accurate change using register systems, where applicable.

• Accurately portion, label, price, and complete orders.
• Manage multiple tasks while maintaining workflow and service speed.
• Keep display cases stocked, clean, and visually consistent.
• Process transactions and make accurate change using register systems, where applicable.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Operate slicers and food preparation equipment after training and in accordance with safety guidelines.
