About The Position

Day Early Learning is seeking responsible workers to operate a small warming kitchen that feeds infants through pre-k children breakfast, lunch, and snack. This is a full-time position with hours from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. The role is perfect for retirees or parents with school-aged children, offering a positive work environment within a great company.

Requirements

Knowledge of food service and sanitation.
Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to work as a team with other people.
Must enjoy working with children.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to pass a Federal background check, which includes fingerprinting and an extensive background check.

Nice To Haves

Serve Safe certification is a plus, otherwise must be attained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain health and safety standards by cleaning equipment and workstation frequently.
Properly store and restock food, cleaning, and cooking supplies.
Serve precisely measured food to school-aged youth.
Engage with students and staff in a friendly, positive manner.
Organize inventory.
Count inventory.
Prepare and set up food for service.
Serve food according to strict serving sizes.
Clean up kitchen area after service.
Become familiar with food allergy list, specific menu changes, and offerings.
Prepare and be ready to serve according to the location's serving schedule.
