About The Position

RIVERSPORT is a nonprofit organization focused on outdoor recreation and adventures, Olympic sports including rowing and canoe/kayak, and creating opportunities for more people to get outside more often. The Food Service Attendant is responsible for assisting the Revenue Manager with a wide variety of food service tasks including register operation, guest service, production of food items, stocking items, and cleaning. The position will be responsible to and evaluated by the Revenue Manager. Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Must enthusiastically represent RIVERSPORT by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. Greet, acknowledge, and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and food standards in compliance with health department, legal and company standards/guidelines, and ensure adherence by all stand team members. Become knowledgeable about the menu and prices at assigned location; be ready and able to make menu suggestions to guests. Follow the proper register procedures. Follow opening and closing location procedures. Take and fill orders for the guests in a timely manner. Prepare food according to set standards, including: Cooking temperature Portion control Serving standards Quality Keep work area cleaned and well stocked. Perform regular and scheduled cleaning. Follow policies in addition to grooming and uniforms set forth by Employee Handbook and department manager. Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team. This role offers a flexible daytime schedule with occasional evening commitments for special events. This position is well-suited for a hands-on high-energy individual who enjoys interacting with diverse audiences. Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand &/or walk for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Must be able to work outdoors at various times throughout the year
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing and speech
  • Requires occasional kneeling and bending
  • Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds
  • Work environment: This position requires occasional work in or around wetness, confined spaces, cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odors, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations.
  • The noise level is generally moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
