About The Position

Seeking responsible workers to operate a kitchen serving breakfast, lunch and snack to K-12 students at charter schools. This is a part-time position with hours from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm, working 180 days a year following the school calendar. The role requires adherence to health and safety standards, precise food serving, and positive interaction with students and staff. A federal background check is mandatory due to security requirements.

Requirements

Knowledge of food service and sanitation.
Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to work as a team with other people.
Must enjoy working with children.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to pass a Federal background check, which includes an extensive background check.

Responsibilities

Maintain health and safety standards by cleaning equipment and workstation frequently.
Properly store and restock food, cleaning, and cooking supplies.
Serve precisely measured food to school-age youth.
Engage with students and staff in a friendly, positive manner.
Organize inventory.
Count inventory.
Prepare and set up food for service.
Serve food according to strict serving sizes.
Clean up kitchen area after service.
Become familiar with food allergy list, specific menu changes and offerings.
Prepare and be ready to serve according to location's serving schedule.
