About The Position

We are hiring for a Food Service Attendant position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time position, 1.0 FTE, with 8-hour evening shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. Applicants who meet the qualifications will receive an invitation with additional screening questions from our HireVue system. Under supervision, the Food Service Attendant prepares a variety of foods requiring short preparation for patients, the public, staff, and catered events. They serve meals and beverages in various positions, requiring strong customer service interaction skills. The role also involves complying with HACCP guidelines and ensuring correct food preparation, proper cleaning, and sanitizing of work areas and equipment. Requirements

• National Food Handler Card – State, County, or City Authority Upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Coursework/Training: Specific vocational training (this training may be obtained in a school, work, military, institutional, or vocational environment)
• 6 months of training or on-the-job experience in quantity food preparation and basic principles of sanitation and safety in food handling
