About The Position
Jefferson, a nationally ranked health care system, is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Associate for Abington Memorial Hospital. This role involves participating in the preparation, assembly, and delivery of meals and food items for patients, hospital staff, and visitors. The associate will also contribute to providing nutritional care to patients and must practice proper food handling techniques and maintain sanitation standards within the department.
Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
- Interpersonal communication skills are required.
- All employees must have 5 days of availability, and work 3 out of 4 weekends a month.
- Holiday rotation is required.
Nice To Haves
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service experience is not required, but is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation, assembly, and delivery of meals and food items for patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
- Participates in providing nutritional care to patients.
- Practices proper food handling techniques and maintains an appropriate level of sanitation in the department.
