About The Position

Assists in the preparation and serving of food for distribution to patients, cafeteria, and catering services. Requirements

  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • No experience required
  • High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred
  • Food Safety Training required within 90 days of employment in this position

Responsibilities

  • Maintains area, equipment, and supplies in safe and orderly manner.
  • Cleans and inspects dietary equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
  • Apportions and serves food to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Assists cook and other dietary staff as needed.
  • Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food, as well as the sanitation and maintenance of work area.
  • Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Executes all tasks and behaves in a manner consistent with a culture of compliance, safety and a high reliability organization; behavior supports the organization's core commitments of Integrity, Service, Respect, Teamwork, Excellence, and Innovation.
