About The Position

These positions assume responsibility for preparing or assisting in preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of foods in an elementary or secondary school food service program. You will utilize the online system, Frontline, to select the days and schools of your choice, where assistance is needed. Working daily is not required, but you must work on a regular basis to remain active. You may be removed from the system if inactive for 30 days or more.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to take oral and written instructions and follow through efficiently
• Ability to work well with others
• Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation and use of equipment used in quantity food preparation
• Willing and able to lift and carry items or objects weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 55 pounds with assistance
• Willing and able to withstand a wide range of temperatures (hot, non-air-conditioned environment and freezer)
• Willing and able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Preparing or assisting in preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of foods in an elementary or secondary school food service program.
• Utilizing the online system, Frontline, to select days and schools of choice where assistance is needed.
• Working on a regular basis to remain active in the system.
• Using cleaning chemicals.
• Operating commercial kitchen equipment.
