About The Position

This is a temporary position with NC DNCR – Parks & Recreation, located at 339 Conference Center Drive, Browns Summit NC, Guilford County. The Haw River State Park is seeking a Food Services Assistant. The candidate selected for this part-time role will be responsible for food and dining room prep, and food services cleanup at the State Park. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of preparation, cooking and baking procedures.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maintain professional, cooperative working relationships with employees and/or patients.
• Ability to maintain high sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
