About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Food Service Aide (FSA) / Dietary Aide for its West Orange, NJ location. This per diem (PRN) position involves working 11AM-7PM shifts, including weekdays and weekends, with a compensation of $19.00/Hour plus a shift differential. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals recovering from various conditions such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

• Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous healthcare food service experience

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
• Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.
• Provide quality work, showing knowledge of the job and good decision making.
• Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
• Provide high quality food preparation and service.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Demonstrate reliability and dependability in your work.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
