About The Position

The purpose of this role is to serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. This includes taking orders, delivering items, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service-ware, and menu items.
Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to obtain any government-required licenses or certificates.
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality experience.
CPR Certification and/or First Aid training.

Responsibilities

Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
Record and repeat orders to guests for accuracy.
Input orders into the Point-of-Sale computer.
Retrieve, confirm accuracy, and deliver orders (up to 30 lbs) to guests, including appropriate condiments.
Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
Replenish beverages and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
Present checks to guests promptly.
Supplement bus-help in clearing and resetting tables.
Perform all assigned side-work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side-stands.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
