About The Position

The Casual Dining Food Server delivers friendly, efficient, and engaging service to guests at Wynn Las Vegas. The role creates a welcoming and memorable dining experience through knowledgeable menu recommendations, attentive service, and operational excellence. As the primary point of contact for guests throughout their dining experience, the Food Server balances hospitality with the pace of a high-volume casual dining environment while upholding Wynn’s service standards and commitment to guest satisfaction.

The position includes taking and entering food and beverage orders, making recommendations, serving items accurately and promptly, maintaining tables, coordinating with dining room and culinary colleagues, handling guest concerns, processing checks, and following company, health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements. The Food Server must meet Wynn grooming, uniform, and appearance standards and uphold company policies and service values.

This is a guest-facing role in a casual dining restaurant within a luxury resort. It requires extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and carrying, as well as a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position is listed as Steady Extra and is non-exempt.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and licenses.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to remain composed and professional during busy service periods.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2+ years of experience as a food server in a restaurant, hospitality, or guest service environment preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume casual dining environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and attentive service throughout the dining experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere and anticipating guest needs.
• Know menu offerings, ingredients, daily specials, and beverages; take and enter orders accurately, including modifications and dietary restrictions; make recommendations and answer guest questions.
• Serve food and beverages accurately and promptly, monitor table progress, verify orders before delivery, and follow service and presentation standards.
• Keep tables clean, organized, and guest-ready; pre-bus and clear tables; reset tables according to department standards.
• Coordinate with bussers, food runners, kitchen staff, and other team members to support smooth service.
• Address guest concerns professionally and promptly, partnering with management to resolve issues and restore guest satisfaction as needed.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests; participate in pre-shift meetings and departmental briefings; support colleagues during peak periods.
• Process guest checks and financial transactions accurately, follow cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures, and promote menu items and beverages.
• Follow Wynn grooming, uniform, and appearance standards; comply with health, safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service regulations, company policies, and service standards.
