Food Safety Technician

Our Macon, Georgia facility is hiring a Food Safety Technician to assist in the daily cleaning and sanitation procedures of the harvesting and packing room! - Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, climb, and lift up to 40lbs.
- Detail oriented and organized
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of related experience in a food manufacturing or agricultural environment preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet the needs of BrightFarms which may include overtime hours, daily and/or weekend.
- Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of machinery
- Assembling and dissembling specific machinery at the end of the product run.
- Perform all duties on the daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Follow protocols for food safe environment in accordance with sanitation SOP’s.
- Wear personal protective equipment required in the facility.
- Be able to get the job done with minimal supervision.
- Report safety hazards.
