About The Position

Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, and taking corrective action when necessary. This role also involves handling additional assignments as requested. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
  • Documenting and calculating results accurately.
  • Taking corrective action, when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
  • Handling additional assignments as requested.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Must function well under stress.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
