Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • PCQI and/or HACCP Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, food manufacturing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and write English fluently.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Handle both raw and cooked food products safely.
  • Complete and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation.
  • Support supplier and third-party food safety audits, including BRC audits.
  • Perform laboratory testing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including: Product color evaluation, pH testing, Water activity (aW) testing.
  • Collect product samples for in-house and third-party laboratory testing.
  • Communicate food safety and quality concerns with multiple departments.
  • Verify compliance with customer, legal, and company product specifications.
  • Conduct pre-operational and post-operational inspections.
  • Report out-of-specification (OOS) results and place products on hold when necessary.
  • Verify proper operation of X-ray equipment, metal detectors, and scales.
  • Perform production line inspections and routine product checks.
  • Complete daily data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits.
  • Assist with monthly facility inspections and inventory stock rotation audits.
  • Support food safety programs and prerequisite systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
