The role of the Food Runner is to maintain food flow and service from food line to customer. This function is essential for ensuring hot food from the kitchen is immediately served to guests in the dining room, maintaining proper plate presentations, and ensuring a consistent flow of food in a healthy and sanitary manner from kitchen to guest. The Food Runner also assists with expediting food orders during slow periods and acts as a role model to other employees.
