Responsibilities

  • Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that each dish is accurately presented and matches the customer's order.
  • Coordinate with servers to ensure that all items for a table are delivered together.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables before and after meal service.
  • Ensure that tables are properly set with condiments, utensils, and other necessary items.
  • Clear empty plates, glasses, and other used items from tables promptly to maintain a clean and organized dining environment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other restaurant team members to ensure smooth coordination of food orders.
  • Relay any special requests or modifications to food orders to the kitchen staff accurately.
  • Inform servers or managers of any issues or concerns related to food quality, presentation, or customer satisfaction.
  • Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, greeting them warmly and answering any questions about the menu or specials.
  • Anticipate and respond promptly to customers' needs, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries or requests courteously and professionally.
  • Inspect food orders before delivery to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of each order against the ticket to prevent errors or discrepancies.
  • Notify kitchen staff or management of any quality issues or discrepancies in food orders.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Handle food items and serving utensils with care to avoid spills or accidents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food running area and other work areas.
