About The Position

The Food Runner is responsible for verifying complete orders, delivering food to the correct table/room/guest, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role requires knowledge of service times, menu items, and floor plan. The Food Runner must also adhere to health, sanitation, and safety guidelines, and be able to work effectively in stressful situations. Additionally, they will assist with various setup, breakdown, and stocking tasks, and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Must maintain serve safe and liquor license.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Must adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu
  • Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
  • Responsible for verifying complete order on ticket to food on cold line and hot line.
  • Deliver food to correct table/room/guest
  • Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager
  • Responsible for set-up items specified inside work.
  • Must consult with supervisor on any food delivery difficulties
  • Must minimize breakage
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings sessions.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down 8th Notch.
  • Report any maintenance concerns to Supervisor
  • Ensuring all products are within date and using the FIFO method of storage.
  • Obtain and maintain Serve Safe and Liquor License.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Understand and acknowledgement of proper uniform and grooming standards
  • Deliver items from kitchen, storage rooms, cooler, and freezers.
  • Adhere to established par stock levels.
  • To be thoroughly acquainted with all technical equipment to fully utilize its capabilities.
  • Be familiar with all espresso drink varieties and know how to make them to consistent standards.
  • Assists in filling up condiments, point of purchase displays, stocking shelves with products, wiping down surfaces.
  • Ensures correct temperature of hot and cold food and beverage products
  • Ensure all products are made to meet specifications consistently.
  • Collect payment to Omni standards.
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying guest and associate concerns.
  • Follow health, sanitation, and safety guidelines for all products.
  • Use necessary kitchen equipment while following all health and safety standards.
  • Adapt to changing food and drink products.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

  • Adhere to all policies regarding employee purchases.
  • Follow procedures for all receipts and returns.
  • Proactively work to seek out ways in which to improve the guests' experience.
