About The Position
The Food Runner at the Beach House is responsible for delivering food to guests quickly and accurately while supporting servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service. This role plays a key part in maintaining presentation standards and creating a positive dining experience in a busy indoor and outdoor beachfront restaurant.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable and punctual
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Food Handler certification required (or ability to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Deliver food from kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
- Verify orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain service flow
- Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests
- Describe menu items when delivering food as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo lines and service stations
- Assist with running beverages, clearing tables, and resetting dining areas
- Support opening, closing, and side work duties
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Provide friendly, professional guest interaction at all times
