Food Runner - Beach Grill - Mandalay Bay
About The Position
As a Food Runner at Beach Bar & Grill in Mandalay Bay, you will support a relaxed, open-air dining experience by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately throughout the poolside setting. In this role, you will provide courteous service while ensuring each dish is presented with care and reaches the correct guest in a timely manner. You will be prepared to describe menu items and answer guest questions, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable service flow. Through strong awareness, communication, and teamwork, you will help maintain an efficient operation and a comfortable, well-paced dining experience for every guest.
Requirements
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 6+ months of prior relevant experience in a fast paced, high-volume restaurant as a Food Runner or Server preferred

Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
- Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
- Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions)
- Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
- Perform assigned open and closing side-work
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
