About The Position

We are looking for a Food Runner to join our growing team! As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately transporting food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring orders are delivered correctly and meeting quality standards. You will also interact with guests, coordinate with kitchen and service staff, maintain cleanliness, and assist with table service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not always required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to carry trays and lift heavy items as needed.
  • Adherence to the restaurant’s dress code and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

  • Transport food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure that orders are delivered in the correct sequence and to the right table.
  • Check that all items on the order are present and meet quality standards before delivery.
  • Verify that special requests and dietary restrictions are accurately addressed.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally when delivering food.
  • Address any immediate concerns or issues with orders promptly and courteously.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Work closely with servers to manage the flow of food and ensure smooth service.
  • Keep food running stations and service areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure that dishes, utensils, and other service items are properly handled and cleaned.
  • Assist servers with additional tasks such as refilling beverages, clearing tables, or resetting tables as needed.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests and relay them to the kitchen or service staff as required.
  • Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the supervisor or kitchen staff.
