About The Position

The Fine Dining Food Runner is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and elegant delivery of food from the kitchen to guests within Wynn Las Vegas. This role supports the service team by acting as a critical liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house, maintaining the highest standards of presentation, timing, and guest experience. The Food Runner must demonstrate strong attention to detail, menu knowledge, and coordination skills to ensure seamless service in alignment with Wynn’s Forbes Five-Star standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong knowledge of food presentation, service standards, and dining etiquette
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with urgency while maintaining precision and composure
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and licenses

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality preferred
  • Prior food runner, busser, or server assistant experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly while maintaining proper temperature, presentation, and timing
  • Ensure all plates meet quality and presentation standards prior to leaving the kitchen
  • Utilize proper carrying techniques (trays or hand service) consistent with fine dining standards
  • Coordinate closely with the expeditor and kitchen to ensure accurate order execution
  • Verify all dishes for accuracy, completeness, and presentation before delivery
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Be able to describe dishes and answer basic guest questions when delivering food
  • Ensure all modifications, allergies, and special requests are correctly executed
  • Present food to guests with professionalism, confidence, and attention to detail
  • Provide brief, accurate descriptions of dishes when delivering
  • Assist servers in maintaining table satisfaction and responding to guest needs
  • Maintain an attentive and respectful presence while interacting with guests
  • Act as a liaison between kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless communication
  • Relay guest feedback or service needs to servers and management in real time
  • Work collaboratively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to maintain service flow
  • Adapt quickly to changing service demands in a high-volume, high-standard environment
  • Assist in synchronizing courses for tables to ensure proper pacing of the dining experience
  • Monitor table status in coordination with service staff to deliver items at the correct time
  • Support execution of multi-course meals with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the expeditor station and service areas
  • Polish and organize plates, utensils, and service equipment to fine dining standards
  • Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
  • Ensure readiness of service tools and equipment throughout the shift
  • Adhere to Wynn grooming, uniform, and professional appearance standards
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
