The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the expo line, organizing order tickets, and communicating effectively with the team. The Food Runner acts as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff, communicating food orders to chefs with attention to priorities like food allergies. They assist wait staff with table setting, ensure food is served by safety standards, and check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory. This position also involves removing dirty dishes, upholding sanitation and food safety principles, and relaying customer satisfaction reports to management. Handling customer requests with a positive attitude is essential.
