About The Position

The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is seeking a Food Runner to provide consistent, efficient, personalized, and prompt food and beverage service in our restaurant, while ensuring that Omni Hotel & Resort standards are always met. We are looking for individuals who bring fresh perspectives and bold ideas to the team. The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is a AAA Four Diamond destination with 1,054 guest rooms, seven unique dining experiences, a rooftop pool, the Breve Spa, and over 100,000 square feet of event space. Requirements

1+ years of food/beverage service preferred.
Knowledge of food and beverage service.
Good verbal and written skills.
Knowledge of Micros preferred.
Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
Computer literacy to include Payroll systems, Micros, POS systems.
Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests when entering the rooms with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
Set up according to type of event and service standards.
Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections.
Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
Clean and set up.
Complete closing duties.
Perform any other duties required by management.
